We designed and developed a new brand and website for the historic Royal Norwich golf club which recently moved to a stunning new location in Norfolk.
We worked with Royal Norwich Golf Club to develop a new logo and website for the club to replace its current site identity and online experience which had become dated and difficult to update. The brief was to develop a website that was a one stop portal for members and guests, with an easy to use content management system (CMS), and a fresh new look that reflected its heritage and premium position.
We designed and built a website with a classic and modern look with a nod to the heritage of the long standing club (est. 1893) and incorporated a new set of primary and secondary brand colours throughout the site.
With a rapidly growing audience of online users, the website was also designed mobile-first to provide a vastly improved mobile user experience with responsive web design tactics.
The site was built on the popular WordPress platform, providing an easy to use CMS for the club to update various sections of the site, including membership, green fees, events and news quickly and efficiently. The navigation of the website was also carefully considered to present information more clearly and discoverable than previous.
Overall the new site provides an easily-editable experience with drag & drop custom components for future scalability and in-house landing page management.
The beautiful course and modern facilities are perfectly communicated via the clean simple design of the website. A large number of course pictures have been added to really highlight the course, golf experience and dinning and social experience.
The website features a hole-by-hole course information guide and hands-off to online tee bookings / reservations for members and visitors, and to Club Systems Members Hub.
SEO and reporting wise the website features on-page SEO, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Console.
