As part of our ‘Roam At Home’ series, Georgie explains why the North Norfolk Coast takes her back to her childhood.

Where is your favourite UK destination?
North Norfolk Coast – Brancaster

When was the last time you went?
New Year’s Day

Why is it your favourite place to go?
While I was growing up my family used to go there every year and stay in a cosy cottage. It just brings back such good memories from my childhood and all the family being together.

What are some of your favourite things to do or see there?

  • Wrapping up in a woolly jumper and heading to the beach for a walk. Followed by sitting next to the log fire in The Jolly Sailor pub
  • In the summertime, grabbing a Mr Whippy at the beach
  • Growing up, we used to always get up early just before the tide was coming in and go crabbing at Brancaster staithe
  • Shopping at Burnham Market
